Forest of Dean AC had two athletes selected to represent Gloucestershire in the Inter-counties Cross-country Championships, held in Cofton Park, Birmingham.
Emily Dowle ran in the junior girls events, finishing second Gloucester girl and about halfway up the field. Pictured with Ellie Hathaway, 3rd Glos girl. Good luck to both the girls in Blackburn next week at the National schools XC.
Sherryl Hall was selected to run in the senior event. Sherryl commented: “Awesome experience today. Wow amazing talent out there! Top three in each race go to China for world cross country champs. 8k – just under 5 miles, 34:05 not bad going for me, but was in bottom 20! The young lady who won did it in 25:07. Loved it and felt very lucky to have been part of it.”
