The Avon Track and Field League was set up in 1984 to provide locally-based
Track and Field competition for clubs in or around the Bristol / Gloucester
area. It is a series of meetings, held monthly throughout the summer and some of the biggest teams in the region, such as Team Bath and Bristol & West, take part. The final meeting has now taken place and Forest of Dean AC came away with two titles.
In the U11 Quadkids competition, the boys team were the clear winners with the girls coming a close second to Bristol & West. Overall, the U11 team were champions. The Senior Men also won their age group.
Other final positions: U13 girls 2nd; U15 girls 7th; U17 women 7th; senior/masters women 6th; U13 boys 3rd; U15 boys 8th and U17 men 6th.
