A band of 20 Forest of Dean AC runners gathered at Parc Bryn Bach, just outside of Myrthyr Tydfil, for the “Round the Lakes” 10k charity race. The 2-lap course included much of the Bryn Bach parkrun route, with a couple of hills thrown in around the golf course. Although the forecast was for heavy showers, these kept away for the duration of the race although there was a stiff headwind when running up the second hill.
The club had 3 athletes finishing in the top 10: Peter Woodward 3rd in 37:16; Daren Smith 8th in 40:00 and Richard Peglar 9th in 40:05. First lady was Kate Frost 53:15, chased home by Stef Francis 53:18.
