The second Forest Mile was held at the Five Acres track on April 22nd. Runners from Forest of Dean AC were joined this year by representatives from Cheltenham Harriers, Chepstow Harriers, Spirit of Monmouth and Severn AC to race 4 laps.
First male to finish was Peter Woodward (Forest of Dean), in 5:03.6, followed by Chris Penny 5:14.5 and Jack Fleet 5:17.9. In the ladies, first finisher was Jane Horler (Chepstow Harriers) in 5:45.0, followed by Fiona Turner 6:45.9 and Kim Chester 6:56.0. Of 32 runners who competed in both 2013 & 2014, 22 improved their times. 5 club records were also set by the seniors: Chris Penny MV40; Richard Dennant 5:46.4 MV50; Chris Moore 6:21.9 MV60; Stef Francis 7:27.1 FV45 and Jackie Green 7:24.4 FV55.
