A group of Forest of Dean AC runners tackled the Sugarloaf Fell Race amongst a field of 108. John Hamiliton put in the best performance, finishing 3rd.
Neville Turner was 1st in the MV50 category in the Warmley Forest Park 10k, finishing in 54:21. Wife Sheralyn finished in 70:05.
Julian Boon just missed out on a personal best in the Abingdon Marathon, finishing in 3h07.
Halloween saw a number of runners dressing up as werewolves, ghosts & witches for the weekly 5k parkrun at Five Acres, Coleford. Runners completing milestone numbers of runs are rewarded with tee shirts and this run saw an unusual coincidence. Kathy Griffin completed 50 runs for her first tee shirt. Chris Hawkins completed 100 and Chris Moore 250. The runs are free, and begin at 9am every Saturday morning. There are other parkruns held locally at Newent and Lydney.
