Five of Forest of Dean’s lady members took part in this event in Cirencester Park. The race consisted of a 1 mile run, followed by a 5 mile mountain bike ride and then another 1 mile run.
The course was covered in very sticky mud and the ladies said that it was impossible to even push the bikes without having to clear the brakes of mud every few yards. First of our finishers was Vanessa Peglar 1:04:22, followed by Karen Barnett 1:09:48; Jo Babij 1:10:46, Claire Morgan 1:12:42 and Sharla Fleet 1:26:13. They say they are looking forward to taking part in the next event in February 2014.
