7 male and 1 female runners from Forest of Dean AC joined 342 others in the 30th staging of the Rhayader Round-the Lakes 20 mile road race. This hilly course follows the edge of the Elan Valley lakes in mid-Wales. The weather this year was warm but windy, compared to hail, sleet and snow in 2013.
First FODAC runner to finish was Simon Dimmer, 33rd in 2:24:44, followed by Julian Boon, 36th in 2:25:55. Other times were Chris Penny 2:29:31; James Dobbing 2:47:16; Scott Berry 2:48:52; Alan Robertson 2:51:35; Chris Moore 2:59:12 and Kate Frost 3:22:31.
