Stroud Half Marathon

Forest of Dean runner Jacqueline Green proved that reaching sixty does not have to limit your running ambitions as she took first place in the F60-69 age group at Stroud Half Marathon this weekend with a finishing time of 1:50:07.

Thirteen Forest of Dean AC runners joined the near 1500 people taking part in the 13.1 mile race enjoying some notable successes in addition to Jacqui’s class win.

Marcus Bennetto took 7th place of 114 runners in the Senior Men’s group with 1:20:01 while Dave Lothian finished 5th of the 177 runners in the M50-59 class with 1:25:15.

Among the other FODAC runners Catherine Roberts and Anna Freeman achieved personal best times for the distance with 1:36:43 and 1:56:30 respectively while Nicola Meek completed her first half marathon for the club with a very respectable 2:05:00

Additional times were:  Walter Leach 1:39:58, Alan Robertson 1:41:14, Jim Storrer 1:41:40, Patrick Rennison 1:43:12, Jason Collins 1:43:33, David Price 1:52:42 and Karen Barnett 1:59:56.
