Rose Inn Series – Race 3
It’s not often that club runners take part in a race where a World Best Time is set, but this happened to a group from Forest of Dean AC in the Rose Inn Series race last Tuesday. Martin Rees, from Les Croupiers RC, finished 10th overall and set a World Best of 21:24 for 4 miles in the MV60 class.
Of the FODAC runners, first to finish was Jack Fleet, 14th in 22:26 followed by Marcus Bennetto 23:23; Dan Sandford 23:48 and Richard Pegler 24:15. First lady, and 1st FV60 was Teresa Tranter 30:52, followed by Gemma Hewitt 32:35 and Vanessa Pegler 33:07. Other times: Julian Boon 24:48; Mark Blake 25:46; Alan Robertson 26:56; Peter Short 31:06; Sharla Fleet 37:03; Andrew Knott 38:03 and Eef van Gestel 41:37.
