Hook 10 mile Road Race

Originally set up in 1992 as a 2.5 mile and 5 mile road race to raise money for the local church and other groups this race has now expanded to include a 10 mile road, 10K and the ever popular 2.5 mile races. Over £105,000 has been raised over 24 yours and over 20 local organisations will have benefited from this race.

Experienced runner Dave Lowthian stood up for FODAC on this occasion and gained a pb of 63:36 at the Hook 10 mile road race, showing that age is no barrier to improvement.

Tewksbury Half Marathon

Tewksbury was the location for our next small team of FODAC runners to tackle this years Half Marathon. Early conditions were ideal being sunny but cool. Organisation was excellent and around 700 runners started off promptly at 10am through Tewksbury town before heading out along country lanes. The course climbs slowly for the first 8 miles before descending back to finish in Tewksbury.

Melinda Ruck who has only been running for a year, ran a fantastic Tewkesbury Half Marathon in 1:43:24.  Other FODAC runners in this event were Daren Smith 1:44:08 and Jason Ross Collins 1:46:18.

 

Bristol 10K

6 runners took part in the Bristol 10k, with Jack Fleet first to fininsh in a pb of 37:04. Other results: Jacqui Wynds 51:31; Karen Barnett 55:27; Caroline Rickards 62:16; Sharla Fleet 62:27 and Claire Lavender 71:25.
