The first Howling Bull Run, organised by club member Dan Sandford was a great success with 181 runners turning up. This was a charity off road run, in aid of the Walford Pre-school playgroup. The course was mainly on the footpaths on Leys Hill, Bulls Hill and Howle Hill.
The weather on the day was pretty atrocious, with storm winds and heavy rain all day, making the course very challenging in places – definitely a grippy shoe day!
The course was generally well marked with arrows and barrier tape, but unfortunately at a few points these were removed, and even placed in different paths, that caused utter chaos! This led to a few ‘interesting’ results, but the majority of runners still had a great time.
