This weeks journey for the FODAC championship was Hereford and the Breinton 10m hosted by Wye Valley Runners.
Described on the website as a 10m undulating course around country lanes it lived up to its description!
A large group of the white and green army arrived at the rather plush Hereford Rowing club in sunny weather, with temperatures just right for a good run. The start was a short walk along the river wye and up onto the bridge to join a large contingent of runners with many others from Wye Valley runners and Hereford Triathlon club.
Great performances all round with Helen Lipscomb (1:15:31) taking third overall for the ladies and Sue Shergold (1:16:12) taking first Ladies v45. A fantastic result for the ladies team – Helen Lipscomb, Sherryl Hall and Sue Shergold – taking overall first.
First home for FODAC in the men was Leyton Fleet (1:05:48) in 10th, followed by Jools (1:06:00) in 11th and Chris Penny (1:13:22) in 19th.
