A number of Forest of Dean athletes competed in the Eastnor Castle race, which consisted of 7 miles over stony tracks and grassy banks, with plenty of mud and steep climbs. The final mile was straight downhill, with a lap of the field to finish line. Wendy Lawrence was first FV50, finishing in 1:17:29, and was presented with a two litre flagon of Old Rosie Cider.
