A gloriously sunny day inspired 263 hardy runners to leave the sofa and Mo’s debut appearance at the London Marathon, and head to Brockweir. 12 challenging miles of gnarly, hilly, off-road racing awaited. Competitors, spectators, and marshals alike were stunned by the dazzling display of cakes on offer at Race HQ. The only problem was, having to do the race before tucking in. Mark Mathews was the first Forest of Dean AC finisher: 22nd in 1:39:18, followed by Dan Sandford 1:44:03 and Graham James 1:58:39, knocking 8 minutes off last year’s time. Mike Melhuish finished in 1:55:07.
