It was warm and quite windy and the rain held off. The 35.08 winning time was shared two Les Croups men, Oliver Williams and Chris Millington, who rather strolled across the line together, with a 25 second cushion on Bath’s Daniel Jones.
First woman was 8th overall: apparently unattached Elinor Kirk whose time of 36.21 was 29 secs ahead of Bridgend’s Kate Roberts, and a minute ahead of Chepstow’s Kath Matthews (technically first 35-44).
First Forest of Dean finisher was Simon Dimmer, returning to running following injury; 54th in 43.12. Other Forest runners were Chris Moore (46.21); Alan Robertson (47.19); Ivan Woodward (48.03); Michael Marks (50.47) and Chris Hawkins (55.11).
