Craig yr Allt Fell Race – 23rd Jan

12 Forest runners competed at the Craig yr Allt Fell Race, just outside Caerphilly. There was a good overall turnout – 124 racers, with the race billed as a ‘good introduction to fell racing’ and the mild, dry weather helping. The race was the 7th and penultimate race of the winter fell series.  The Craig yr Allt ‘mountain’ is more of a hill, so there was 2 ascents and descents to make sure everyone got enough hills in. Total distance was around 3.8 miles, with a total ascent of around 900feet.
