GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP – JAN 9TH
For the second year FODAC hosted the Cross Country Championship at Lakers School. The event was well supported through all the age categories and luckily for the Juniors the rain did not start until the older age groups ran. Sadly it was torrential which made the course extremely muddy but there was some excellent racing and personal performances.
The FODAC Juniors had greatest success in the Under 11 categories with the boys finishing 5th team and the girls in an excellent 2nd. The boys were Own Hall, Finley Smith, Kieran Morgan. The girls were Izzy Babij, Grace Clarke and Isabelle Chapman
The Senior Ladies were dominated by an incredible performance by Bristol & West athlete Kate Hulls who finished 1st in 25.21, she was followed by FODAC’s Helen Brown in 28.15 who was 1st in her age category. The ladies team of Helen Brown, Helen Lipscomb and Sherryl Hall were 2nd in both the Open and masters section
