A busy weekend with members scattered all over the place.<\/p>\n

The next round of the club championship took place with eleven souls running the\u00a010 mile Cwmdu Fell Race. \u00a0 First member to finish was Dan Sandford<\/strong>, 4th overall in 91:37, with Julian Boon<\/strong> next 94:29, and Chris Moore<\/strong> 120:23.\u00a0 First FODAC lady was Helen Lipscomb<\/strong> 125:41, followed by Sherryl Hall<\/strong> 133:23 & Margaret Powles<\/strong> 142:17.\u00a0 The other runners were Patrick Rennison<\/strong> 123:10, Alan Robertson<\/strong> 129:55, and Gemma Hewitt, Stef Francis & Chris Hawkins<\/strong> who crossed the line together in 158:20.\u00a0 Patrick commented “I can say without doubt, it is the hardest 10 miles I have ever run. Although thinking about it run may not be the right term. With 855 Meters of climbing according to Garmin (about half a mile straight up) it was difficult to walk a lot of it let alone run”.<\/p>\n

Triathlons featured heavily this weekend. \u00a0Victoria Baker,<\/strong> representing GB, took the silver medal in the female 30-34 age category in the European Triathlon Championships in Lisbon, finishing just 39s behind the winner in 2:11:46.European Triathlon Championships.<\/p>\n

\"Westonbirt<\/a><\/p>\n

Nearer to home, five members took part in the Westonbirt Triathlon. \u00a0Hubert Ashley-Towell<\/strong> was 1st overall in 1:11:38. \u00a0Rachel Nash, Bev James, Vanessa Pegler and Darren Creed<\/strong> made up the team.<\/p>\n

Suzanne Peters<\/strong> completed a 30.5 mile ultra marathon, following on from her run at Brighton in April.<\/p>\n

Kate Burke<\/strong> slipped a secretive Edinburgh Marathon past the other club members, improving on her\u00a0London Marathon time with a new pb of 4:06:32.<\/p>\n

Marcus & Graham Bennetto ran the Treforest 10k. \u00a0Marcus was 20th in 39:44 and Graham finished in 52:31.<\/p>\n
