Another week: another Championship road\u00a0race across the county boundary. This time it was the first of Chepstow Harrier’s Rose Inn series. \u00a0This 4 mile race cover just over 2 circuits in the village of Redwick, just outside of Newport. \u00a0Being close to the river, the course is often breezy, particularly along the return mile, as it was on this occasion. \u00a0That said, it wasn’t too hot nor raining.<\/p>\n

There was a large turnout of over 200 runners including 26 from Forest of Dean AC.<\/p>\n

\"Rose<\/a><\/p>\n

The race was won by Huw Evans of Les Croupiers in 21.06, and first lady was Emma Wookey of Lliswerry Runners in 22.46. \u00a0First Forrester was Jack Fleet, 34th in 24.10 followed by his father Leyton 24.14. \u00a0First FODAC lady was Sherryl Hall 27.07.<\/p>\n
