{"id":3472,"date":"2015-04-27T08:32:56","date_gmt":"2015-04-27T08:32:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fodac.org.uk\/wordpress\/?p=3472"},"modified":"2015-04-30T23:29:43","modified_gmt":"2015-04-30T23:29:43","slug":"april-26th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/fodac.org.uk\/wordpress\/?p=3472","title":{"rendered":"April 26th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With no Championship races this weekend, Forest of Dean AC runners were scattered at events across the country. \u00a0The biggest of these was the Virgin London Marathon with 5\u00a0FODAC\u00a0runners taking part. \u00a0First of these to finish was Richard Pegler in 3.10.43, followed by Brian Francis 3.49.14; Stef Francis 4.36.05; Glen Harvey 4.36.06 and Vanessa Pegler 5.23.00.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/fodac.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/peglers-london.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3473\" src=\"http:\/\/fodac.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/peglers-london.jpg\" alt=\"peglers london\" width=\"481\" height=\"641\" srcset=\"http:\/\/fodac.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/peglers-london.jpg 481w, http:\/\/fodac.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/peglers-london-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 481px) 100vw, 481px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Much nearer home, others took part in Chepstow Harrier&#8217;s Offa&#8217;s Orror: 12 miles a hills along Offa&#8217;s Dyke and the River Wye. \u00a0Dan Sandford finished 8th in 1.30.55, followed by Mark Mathews 1.37.14; Graham James 2.00.51 and Jacqui Wynds 2.12.53.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/fodac.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/MM-Offas.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3474\" src=\"http:\/\/fodac.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/MM-Offas.jpg\" alt=\"MM Offas\" width=\"712\" height=\"507\" srcset=\"http:\/\/fodac.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/MM-Offas.jpg 712w, http:\/\/fodac.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/MM-Offas-300x214.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 712px) 100vw, 712px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tori Baker showed just how much she has improved this year completing the First Tri, a sprint from Lydney, in 7th place overall of 158 competitors. She was 1st F by quite some margin. Her run was over 3 minutes quicker than last year&#8217;s.<br \/>\nOver at Parc Bryn Bach, Tredegar Jules was the sole FoDAC representative at the Lap-the-Lake 10K finishing in 42:04 coming 17th &amp; finally, the Abergavenny 10k was run on undulating country roads from the village of Pandy.
