The route includes numerous stiles and stream crossings, very challenging terrain underfoot and a total elevation of approximately 500m (1640 ft).<br \/>\n<strong>Julian Boon<\/strong> was the first Forest of Dean AC finisher in 1:54:56. He was one of the few who managed to beat his 2012 time, remarkable since the course was longer in 2013. <strong>\u00a0Janet Dimmer<\/strong> finished in 2:19:39, winning the FV50 class. \u00a0<strong>Simon Dimmer<\/strong> completed in 2:11:35 but <strong>Michael Marks<\/strong> had to be helped from the course with a recurrence of an injury.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Bog &amp; Bryn Challenge is a tough\u00a013 mile multi-terrain scenic race, across the footpaths, open fields, country lanes and woodland of Llantarnam, Henllys, Rogerstone, Coed Eva and Hollybush.
